PAIA Manual

This manual is prepared in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No 2 of 2000) and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.

• Rental agreements and identification records
• Supplier and Canon SA dealer records
• Employment records
• Marketing database (opt-in only)

3. How to request access

Requests must be made in writing using Form 02 as published by the Information Regulator. Email the completed form to the Information Officer. Prescribed fees (if any) apply under the PAIA Fees Regulations. We respond within 30 calendar days.

4. Grounds for refusal

We may refuse access where allowed under sections 62 - 69 of PAIA, including where the record contains another person's personal information, commercially sensitive third-party information, or is subject to legal professional privilege.

5. Information Regulator

If we refuse access you may complain to or apply for relief from the Information Regulator of South Africa, JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, or via inforegulator.org.za.
